We focused on the layout—which we developed based on the client’s technical specifications—and on lighting design. The bar counter became the focal point of this establishment.

Made of solid wood and painted a bright red, it is located in the center of the room and offers 360-degree access. The customer’s countertop and the bartender’s work surface are at the same level, which reduces the “barrier” between the guests and the bartender. Lighting is built into the countertop, creating a play of light in each guest’s glass. The bar’s interior layout was designed according to the project plans, allowing two bartenders to work simultaneously behind the bar. A suspended shelf for storing bottles of alcohol. This is an interesting feature, since the configuration of the bar counter meant there was no wall on which to hang a traditional shelf for alcohol. It also had to be designed so that bottles could be placed along the entire perimeter, ensuring convenient access for staff and an attractive appearance for customers.

Bar Interior Design – Bar 4

It also incorporates key lighting elements. Since we were unable to make drastic changes to the space, lighting became the primary mechanism for transforming it. In addition to the extensive lighting in the bar area, the following elements were added:

Lighting in the beams between the vaults.

Spotlights above certain groups of tables.

Step lighting to ensure the steps are clearly visible in a dimly lit room.

Wall lighting. Custom-made metal panels installed along the perimeter of all the walls helped visually transform the space through simple design choices, unifying it with a single, large element. This element was also extended to the terrace, helping to visually and stylistically unify these two spaces. Lighting is built into the panels, illuminating the old Austrian brick on the walls and providing ambient lighting.

The lighting in the window recesses enhances the overall atmosphere inside and attracts the attention of passersby outside.

All the lighting is RGB, which allows you to change the color of the lighting to suit any scenario you might need.

DJ booth. The DJ booth is another highlight of this venue. Since DJ Goochbrown is the creative force behind it, great attention has been paid to the sound and music. The venue features excellent sound with a well-designed speaker layout, as well as a fully equipped DJ booth with all the necessary equipment. The DJ booth is finished with a mirrored surface so that it “blends” into the space, and behind the DJ is a large illuminated panel with a gradient fill, against which the DJ’s silhouette stands out beautifully and is clearly visible right from the entrance.

Decor. Mirrored partitions, custom-made according to our design, were used to divide the space. They serve their purpose perfectly without making the space feel cluttered, thanks to the mirrored elements mounted at various angles.

Bar Design Project – Bar4

Atrium. The area that everyone is accustomed to calling the “terrace” is actually the “atrium,” and some of the hotel rooms’ windows face it. Here, too, the challenge was to change both the intended use of the space and give it a new stylistic design. The atrium serves several key purposes that are an integral part of the bar’s design concept:

In the morning—the breakfast area.

Obid—can be used as a coworking space or an alternative place to work over a cup of coffee.

In the evening—when the bar is open—the terrace can serve as an extension of it.

There is also an alternative use—this area can be used as a conference room.

That’s why the furniture here was replaced with movable pieces that can be easily rearranged to suit the task at hand. It was also necessary for this space to visually blend with the renovated bar located nearby. One of the elements used to achieve this cohesion is the use of the same panels on the brick wall, as well as RGB lighting above the wooden elements. Emphasis was also placed on incorporating greenery into this space. Cables spanning the full height of the room were installed in front of the stairwell, and plants were planted that will eventually grow and completely cover the stairwell. Chandeliers with greenery hang from the ceiling; they provide warm, ambient light, add more greenery and a cozy atmosphere to the space, and do not block the natural sunlight coming in from above.

Learn more about the Bar4 design project.
