It is contemporary architecture with clean geometric forms, a strong contrast of materials and carefully planned layered lighting that changes the look of the house throughout the day.<\/p>\n<a class=\"read-more-link uk-text-bold read-more-link-open uk-display-block\" href=\"#read-more-content-2414\" data-uk-toggle=\"animation: uk-animation-fade\">Read more<\/a><div id=\"read-more-content-2414\" class=\"read-more-content\" hidden>\n<h2>The architectural idea: contrasting volumes<\/h2>\n<p>The house has two main levels, each with its own character. The upper floor is a massive cantilevered volume clad in light, ribbed facade panels. It projects over the lower level, creating a striking visual accent and acting as passive sun shading for the panoramic windows of the first floor. The lower level is darker and more enclosed, with large areas of glazing that open the interior to the plot.<\/p>\n<h2>Facade materials<\/h2>\n<p>We combined three main materials: light facade panels with a vertical relief, dark horizontal louvres and textured architectural concrete. The louvres add privacy and visual movement, while the concrete of the lower level and the fence brings durability and connects the house to the landscape. A restrained palette \u2014 light, dark and grey \u2014 makes the facade coherent and recognizable.<\/p>\n<h2>Facade design: rhythm and proportion<\/h2>\n<p>The vertical lines of the upper-floor panels and the horizontal louvres below create a rhythm that reads from a distance. Large windows are placed to bring in as much daylight as possible, and the cantilever above them shades the rooms from direct sun at the hottest times of day. The flat roof and crisp edges emphasise the contemporary character of the architecture.<\/p>\n<h2>Architectural lighting and the night-time facade<\/h2>\n<p>Architectural lighting is a separate part of the concept. We developed several scenarios that completely change how the house is perceived after dark. Linear LED lighting around the cantilevers outlines the geometry and makes the massive upper floor appear to float. Alongside warm base lighting, the design allows for accent coloured lighting, such as deep red, which turns the facade into a contemporary art object.<\/p>\n<h2>Entrance and landscaping<\/h2>\n<p>The entrance and the area around the house follow a minimalist style: restrained planting with conifers, concrete planters along the terrace and concealed ground lighting around the perimeter. Parking is built into the overall composition, so functional areas do not break the clean look of the plot.<\/p>\n<h2>Modern standards and energy efficiency<\/h2>\n<p>On projects like this, we follow global trends in sustainable, energy-efficient architecture, regularly covered by international platforms such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archdaily.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ArchDaily<\/a>.
