How much does an interior design project cost?

A full residential design project starts at $45 per m² in Ukraine and at 200 PLN net per m² in Poland. It includes layouts, 3D visualizations of every room, technical drawings and specifications.

Do I need author’s supervision?

We recommend it for any renovation: the designer visits the site regularly, checks the work against the drawings and resolves issues with contractors. Supervision costs $200 per month in Lviv and 1,500 PLN net per month in Warsaw, with a weekly site visit.

Can we work together from another city or country?

Yes. We have offices in Lviv and Warsaw and work with clients from other cities and countries online: meetings, approvals and documentation are all handled remotely.

What do you need to get started?

A floor plan or measurements, a few photos and your wishes on style and budget. At the first meeting, we put together a brief and propose the stages of work.

Apartment Interior Design in Kyiv by SPACE DESIGN

Designing an apartment for a family of three is always a demanding and interesting task, especially when the space must be both functional and beautiful. The main goal of this project was to keep as much space as possible in the shared areas: the hallway, the kitchen and the living room, while keeping the interior comfortable and coherent.

Analysis of the space and key challenges

The first thing we noticed in this apartment was the limited daylight: the windows face a park. For many apartments this would be a serious drawback, for us it became a starting point for design decisions. We chose a pastel palette that visually enlarges the rooms and makes them brighter.

Pastel colours add light and a feeling of lightness. Together with minimalist furniture and carefully selected decor, they work especially well in apartments with little natural light.

Combining the kitchen and living room into an open space

One of the key decisions was to combine the kitchen and the living room. We removed the partitions and created a large open space without doors, which is now the main area for family time and rest. This layout uses every square metre and makes even a compact apartment feel spacious.

The living room also works as a home cinema: a large projection screen comes down in front of the TV, and the whole family and their friends fit on the spacious sofa in the centre of the room.

Flush-mounted doors and high ceilings

To make the rooms look taller, we used flush-mounted doors 2.5 metres high. They visually raise the ceilings and suit a minimalist interior, where nothing should interrupt the perception of space.

We also removed the window sills at the windows leading to the terrace. This lets more daylight into the apartment and makes it more comfortable.
