Develop a redesign plan for the apartment at 269a Zelena Street to maximize the use of space and create a modern interior design that meets the needs of a young couple. The project must take into account the possibility of the family growing in the future, so the focus is on functionality, convenience, and the adaptability of the space.

The main challenge of our project was the remodeling process. The apartment we received from the developer had many monolithic structural columns, which significantly limited our remodeling options. These structural elements could not be removed or concealed, which made it difficult to create an open and multifunctional space.
The clients’ specifications called for the creation of several functional areas: a spacious kitchen-living room, a convertible bedroom, a separate children’s room, a home office, and storage space. In addition, it was necessary to take into account that the family might grow in the future, and the apartment should remain comfortable to live in.
We solved the problem through a thorough analysis of the space and the development of an optimal layout. The main focus was on zoning the space without losing its visual lightness. Thanks to carefully selected furniture and thoughtful ergonomics, we were able to combine functional zones while maintaining a balance between an open layout and privacy.
One of the key design choices was the integration of built-in furniture and multifunctional structures, which made it possible to make efficient use of every square meter of the apartment. For example, the living room is connected to the kitchen by a bar counter that doubles as a dining table and a workspace. The bedroom features a wardrobe with sliding doors, which visually expands the space and provides additional storage.

Despite technical challenges during the redesign phase, the interior design process was a true pleasure. The clients, who have a background in the arts, actively participated in developing ideas and supported our experimentation with colors and textures. Thanks to their openness to creative solutions, we were able to create an interior that harmoniously blends a contemporary style with unique artistic accents.
The design is based on natural materials that create an atmosphere of warmth and coziness. Granite, concrete, and wood are skillfully combined throughout the space, lending it a modern and structured feel. To liven up the interior, we used bright color accents in the form of textiles, decor, and furniture. For example, in the living room, we placed a deep blue sofa, which became the focal point of the room.
Special attention was paid to lighting. Thanks to multi-level lighting scenarios (general, task, and accent lighting), we were able to make the space comfortable for a variety of needs—from work to relaxation.
An additional challenge was balancing aesthetics with practicality, given the family’s plans to expand. We chose durable, easy-to-clean materials that will stand the test of time. The children’s room is designed so that it can be adapted to the child’s age: from a nursery to a space for a teenager.

The solutions proposed by our team not only meet the clients’ technical requirements but also take into account their lifestyle and aesthetic preferences. The interior has become a unique blend of modern style, functionality, and individuality. This home is ready for change and will provide comfort for the young couple both today and in the future.
