Design of a Dental Clinic in Uzhhorod — Modern Aesthetics of a Medical Space

SPACE DESIGN Studio created a design project for a dental clinic in Uzhhorod, where the treatment space is transformed into a place of comfort, trust, and aesthetic appeal. The main idea is to show that a medical interior can be functional, warm, and pleasant for patients all at once.

Light, natural materials, and soft shades of wood and stone create an atmosphere where it’s easy to relax before a doctor’s appointment. This project continues the studio’s series of successful projects, including the design of a dental clinic in Lviv —a well-known example of a modern approach to medical spaces.

Interior Design Concept — A Blend of Functionality and Naturalness

In the design of the clinic in Uzhhorod, the SPACE DESIGN team struck a balance between technical precision and visual harmony. The main materials are travertine, light-colored wood, and glass. They create a natural feel while meeting all hygiene requirements.

The lighting is based on LED systems with a soft light temperature. In the reception area, organically shaped pendant lights are used to emphasize the dynamic nature of the space. This approach creates an impression of cleanliness without feeling sterile—exactly what patients at modern dental clinics value.

The reception area and lobby—the first impression that builds trust

The reception area is the face of the clinic, which is why its design has been carefully thought out. Natural stone and wood were used in the decor. Soft lighting highlights the texture of the materials, while vertical landscaping brings the space to life.

On the wall is an illuminated sign reading “DENTAL CLINIC, ” which serves as both a branding element and a decorative feature. Next to it is a waiting area with comfortable chairs in soothing colors. This approach creates a homey yet professional atmosphere.

Details such as a small sculpture on a pedestal, a planter with live branches, or the incredibly smooth lines of the furniture give the clinic its unique visual character.

Hallways and Wayfinding — Making It Easy for Patients to Find Their Way

In the interior design of a clinic, it is important for patients to be able to easily find their way around. A spacious hallway with the sign “Smile” not only helps patients find the right office but also creates a positive emotional atmosphere.

The door numbering follows a consistent style—clean and simple, using a minimalist font. The glass partitions create a sense of visual openness while maintaining privacy thanks to the frosted sections.

This decision is in line with the principles of modern clinic design, where transparency and trust are key elements.

Dental Offices — Sterility and Comfort

Every dental office has its own layout for equipment, well-thought-out ergonomics, and lighting design. The color white, combined with warm wood tones, creates a balance between professionalism and comfort.

Shadowless lighting, concealed light sources, and furniture with smooth surfaces—all of this creates an atmosphere of technological purity.

For the patient, it is a space where the fear of treatment disappears. And for the doctor, it is a convenient and intuitive work environment.

Meeting Room and Staff Area

A separate consultation room has become an important part of this project. This is where consultations take place, treatment plans are discussed, and team meetings are held. Soft lighting, a wooden table, and soothing colors create an atmosphere of professional trust.

The staff lounge combines functionality and comfort. A spacious kitchen with built-in appliances, a relaxation area, and a neutral color scheme—everything has been carefully designed to give medical staff their own space to unwind after a long day at work.

The Staircase and Basement — An Extension of a Cohesive Concept

The staircases are made of light-colored travertine, which is combined with glass elements. The space remains open and airy, despite the vertical changes in level.

The basement level houses administrative offices, the director’s office, and technical areas. The minimalist design maintains the clinic’s consistent style—no unnecessary details, just clean lines and carefully calibrated lighting.

The Bathroom — An Extension of the Philosophy of Simplicity

The guest restroom is decorated in a light color scheme, combining stone and white. Mirrors visually enlarge the space, while the lighting creates a soft, three-dimensional effect. The phrase “Smile” on the mirror adds a friendly and human touch to the space.

Details like these are part of SPACE DESIGN studio’s signature approach, which combines architectural purity with emotional warmth.

Technical Solutions and Materials

The project was built using high-quality materials and hardware.

The lighting systems are dimmable, which allows you to create different atmospheres depending on the area: the reception area, an office, or the lobby.

Here, we use lighting systems from the company.

SPACE DESIGN — Architecture That Builds Trust

The design of this dental clinic in Uzhhorod is an example of how interior design can become part of a brand. It’s a space that conveys professionalism, care, and openness.

The SPACE DESIGN team implements similar healthcare projects throughout Ukraine and beyond, creating environments where architecture promotes well-being
